STATIC ELECTRICITY

Kia Ora tamariki ma,

today me and my class have been learning about static electricity here is a
piece on writing i did about Static electricity.

                 STATIC ELECTRICITY / ELECTRICITY

Static electricity is a build up of an electrical charge from the surface of an object.

The reason it is called static electricity is because static electricity stays in one area and does not move or flow.

Atoms are made up of Electrons,Neutrons, and Protons the only difference is that the Electrons move around on the outside.

Items of different charges (positive/negative) will attract each other say for example at the back of the remote there is a place where the charges go, well on the batteries at the end of each tip there is either a (+ plus  sign) or a (- negative sign) then if you look at the back of the remote there will be a little swirly thingy that is where the plus side will go, then at the other end of the remote there will be like a little bump that is where the negative side will go BUT if you put the positive & positive together they will repell each other but if you put negative and positive together they will attract each other.

Did you know that lightning is a type of static electricity. Most lightning happens inside a cloud, but sometimes it happens between the cloud and the ground. A build up of positive charge builds up on the ground beneath the cloud, attracted to the negative charge in the bottom of the cloud. Did you know that 70% of people have been struck by lightning. Did you know that if you get struck by lightning than you are most likely to survive.

TODAY I HAVE DONE MY WRITING AT SCHOOL OF WHY MY PRINCIPLE SHOULD BUY HAY PARK VR HEADSETS HERE IS MY WRITING!!!!!

I really believe that Mrs Campbell should buy the VR headset because i think that it will give us more experience. How can they give us more experience

My first reason why Mrs Campbell should buy the VR HEADSET is that  they can give us more experience like say if we were at school and we were writing about animals in the water or the pollution we would need more experience to describe them, say for like a shark and someone was writing about it then they had to describe it they would have to see it up close and with the VR HEADSETS then they would be able to describe how they act and what they look like up close.

My second reason why Mrs Campbell should buy VR HEADSET is that they can help us be more responsible with our equipment and other things just like how we have to be very responsible with our Chromebooks when we take it home and we have to make sure that it is charged and ready for the day. So I really believe that Mrs Campbell should buy the VR Headsets for students at Hay Park School.

Thirdly, Mrs Campbell should buy the headsets for students at Hay Park because it is fun, I mean everyone would love to have a go with a VR Headset because it's fun to play around with and say if we had a boring subject and we had VR Headsets then the boring subject will be a fun and exciting subject. 

so I strongly and truly believe that Mrs Campbell should buy VR HEADSET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!          THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Birds:

Birds like to eat apples and seeds  they live in cages. Birds do not have fur but they have feathers to cover their bodies if you want your bird to survive you need to put the bird in its cage outside for some fresh air. A fascinating fact about an ostrich is that it is the biggest bird in the world. 

Rabbits:

Rabbits like to eat cabbage carrots and dry food where does a rabbit live you may ask a rabbit lives in something called a hutch. Their bodies are covered in fur some rabbit are covered in long fur and some are covered in short fur. Rabbits need a lot of attention  from their owners because they are very special. rabbits have long ears about 10 cm long.

Dogs:

Dogs like to eat meat raw sometimes cooked and they also like to eat dog biscuits and cans of dog food. Dogs usually live in kennels where its nice and warm, they are covered in hair  dogs need to be taken out for walks and groomed with a brush did you know that your dog's whiskers can help him see in the dark.

Fish:

Fish like to eat fish pellets or flakes  fish usually live in a fish tank with other fish or even in a clear bowl. Fish are covered in scales fish need to be fed and the fish tank has to be nice and clean did you know that there are over 3000 known species of fish.

RAMADAN

Me and my class were learning about ramadan.

Ramadan is a time where muslim people start to fast and got to the mosque 

more often to pray.

what is ramadan?,

Ramadan is the holiest month in the muslim calendar and members

of the Islami  faith observe it by fasting.

what is fasting, 

fasting is when muslim people do not eat in daylight but if

someone is sick of old and they are really hungry its okay for 

them to eat. muslim people do not have to fast but some muslims choose to fast.

toolkit is when schools that are part of our cluster come together and share some of their learning with other people

 Today i was a presenter and we showed how to do a kahoot account it was kind of fun i did a project on google drawing art. so i basically go a cartoon character and added some of my own detail.
